I don’t really have that much to say about this film, no criticism from me. Credits to the cinematographer, Stefan Duscio, for smooth and spot-on camera work. From the bedrooms, to the attics, the clear message of the secluded mansion on top of a hill with ocean waves around the house. Even with the scary music that comes with it, composed by Benjamin Wallfisch. I like the fact that it doesn’t have a lot of jump scare sounds, nothing high-pitched sounds that makes the hair at the back of your neck rise, nothing too typical or cliche. The storyline didn’t have to be so elaborate and long, it was easy to understand. Elisabeth Moss‘s character was excellent and well played. Oliver Jackson-Cohen‘s character was impressive as well. Both of them gave excellent performance.

Overall, the movie was actually kinda perfect. I would totally want to watch this movie again and probably the only satisfactory movie I’ve watched this year.

RATING: 10/10
